My First Piece

This was my first Annie Sloan furniture piece. I have had this night stand hidden in the closet for years. I took a painting class where I was able to bring my own furniture piece so this was perfect! With some Annie Sloan chalk paint it is now one of my favorite piece of furniture in the house and can’t separate from it.

The top had chipped wood and was pealing so I had to sand it down first then paint. I used old white as the first coat and then duck egg as the second coat. Sanded it a bit on the edges so some of the old white can come out along with the natural wood. Then the magic happens with the clear and dark wax. All of a sudden it is a brand new night stand!
